Why have WarmCards changed?
Vortex Media has been manufacturing and selling WarmCards since 2001. Over the years we have received a lot of comments and feedback from literally hundreds of customers. The changes in WarmCards 2.0 are based partly on those suggestions, and partly on continued R&D at Vortex Media to make sure our cards remain the very best way to white balance your cameras.

What are the changes with WarmCards 2.0?

- All WarmCards kits now inlcude Minus Green and Warm-1/2 as standard equipment. Previoulsy those cards required purchasing an option called the PlusPack.

- All cards are now double-sided with different shades on each side.

- A totally new Warm-1/4 card has been added for those times when only slight warming is desired.

- The Warm-3 card has been discontinued in all WarmCards kits.

- Two shades of CoolCards are now included for times when a cooler look is desired

- The old Digital Camera Pack (DCP) has been replaced by WarmCards SLR. The cards in this kit now have metal eyelets, just like the cards in the WarmCards Complete kit.

- The "clam shell" style zippered case has been replaced by a lighter, easier to carry, canvas carrying case. A carabiner is now included to make it easy to clip the case to the handle of a run bag, a c-stand, a belt loop, camera case, etc.

I have an older version of WarmCards. Will they match the new WarmCards 2.0 cards?
The new 2.0 cards are similar to the original shades, but not exactly the same. Improving the effect that WarmCards provide required changing the tones slightly. However, for casual users, there will be little noticeable difference between mixing footage shot with older and newer cards.

I already own a set of WarmCards. Can I get a Warm-1/4 upgrade?
Yes. We realize that many customers will want to upgrade their original WarmCard kit to include the new Warm-1/4 card, so we have a special order form just for that purpose. The cost is $18.00 for both Large and Small cards. Note: The design of the new Warm-1/4 cards matches the style of the older cards in your kit. ORDER WARM-1/4 UPGRADE ONLY

Can I buy CoolCards only -- or upgrade my older WarmCards kit to include CoolCards?
Sorry. We are not offering CoolCards as an upgrade or stand-alone product. The only way to get CoolCards is to purchase them as part of a new WarmCards 2.0 kit.

Can I buy individual cards?
No. WarmCards are sold as complete white balance systems only and single cards are not available.

Can I still get the old version of WarmCards?
No. We have sold our entire inventory and are no longer manufacturing the original versions of the cards.
